Dr. Tina Funk completed her undergraduate work at Eastern Illinois University, having studied pre-optometry with a chemistry minor, then graduated from Indiana University with her optometry degree.
She became interested in this field after getting a job as a receptionist for a local optometrist. Her interest was piqued even further when she worked as an ophthalmic technician for an ophthalmologist in North Carolina while her husband served in the Army. As soon as her husband finished his term, she returned to school to fulfill her optometric goals. She has also spent many years in service for the Illinois Optometric Association, and for the last five years, she worked as the Optometrist in Charleston, IL. She is very excited about joining Community Eye Care and hopes to fulfill any eye-care related needs of her patients.
